Briarbird worked with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) to film five dramatised stories, based on patient encounters, to educate GPs on the eHealth record system.
RACGP appreciates the way video can be used to convey the nuances of a doctor/patient relationship. Based on actual encounters, these videos were designed to promote the convenience and positive benefits of the new eHealth system to GPs, and were part of an Australia-wide training program.
The need to train GPs
The training program and five dramatised stories were seen by approximately 5,000 participants, representing 3,000 GP practices. 95% of participants in the peer to peer presentations said they would recommend eHealth to their colleagues.
Practical outcomes
Our client was very pleased with the GP’s enthusiasm for eHealth and the role the videos played in this;
The videos were great. People could see how it worked in general practice. They could see ‘Yes, I’ve got a patient like Nellie’ or ‘I’ve got one like Bill’. It brought the training to life in a very practical manner.
